ZARAGOZA, Spain — LEAPMOTOR and STELLANTIS officially began production of the LEAPMOTOR B10 at the STELLANTIS Zaragoza plant on October 16, 2026. The B10 is Leapmotor’s first European-built model.
The Zaragoza facility has operated for 43 years and produced over 10 million vehicles. It currently builds the OPEL CORSA, PEUGEOT 208, and LANCIA YPSILON, and the B10 now joins that lineup. A battery assembly facility in Mallén, Spain, supports the plant with battery-module assembly and related processes.
“Our roots are in China and our ambition is global,” said Jiangming Zhu, Founder and President of LEAPMOTOR. “Europe is a strategic part of that ambition, and producing in Zaragoza allows us to bring our technology closer to European markets and customers” .

Zaragoza was selected for its quality, available capacity, and industrial expertise. The project operates within STELLANTIS’ FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, combining STELLANTIS’ manufacturing experience and quality standards with LEAPMOTOR’s EV technology.
“The electric transition must also be an industrial transition,” said Silvia Vernetti, a STELLANTIS representative. “If our partnership is the strategy, Zaragoza is the proof that we can combine global technology, competitiveness, and European industrial capabilities”.
Jorge Azcón, President of the Government of Aragon, and Jordi García Brustenga, Secretary of State for Industry, led the institutional delegation at the event, underscoring the project’s importance for Spanish industry.
